“The feel-good documentary recounts the ties of a Catskills summer camp to American disability rights activism in the 1970s.”

Crip Camp, produced by Barack and Michele Obama, is a movie about Judy Heumann’s efforts to pass the Americans with Disabilities Act, and features Crip Camp, a summer camp in the Catskills for children with disabilities. Judy ‘s inspiring book,  Being Heumann, demonstrates the way a group of campers and many other people with disabilities worked to change federal law.

Join us on Saturday, February 27 from 7:00 - 9:00 PM for a virtual viewing of Crip Camp. If you have a conflict on Saturday, you can also watch the movie anytime on Neflix
Then, on Sunday, February 28 from 4:00 – 5:00 PM join us on Zoom for an interview with Judy Heumann as she discusses both the movie and her book. 

Please note that this movie as an ‘R’ – Restricted rating and may not be appropriate for viewers ages 17 and under.  There movie has  closed caption.
