Temple Shalom is turning 75! Since 1950, our community has been a home for prayer, learning, music, friendship, and connection. This milestone year is an opportunity to honor our past, celebrate our present, and seed our future with joy, gratitude, and vision.
Join us for a four-day anniversary celebration weekend, December 11-14, 2025. From music and Shabbat gatherings to study, community meals, and a festive Gala, we’ll come together to mark this extraordinary moment in Temple Shalom’s history.

HISTORY THROUGH ARTThursday through Sunday, December 11-14, 2025 | (Sanctuary Vestibule)We are proud to present History Through Art, a special exhibit showcasing the story of our congregation through creativity and expression. This exhibit brings together artwork, photographs, and artifacts that reflect the milestones, memories, and spirit of our community across the decades. From founding moments and sacred rituals to everyday life and joyful gatherings, History Through Art highlights the beauty of our past and the vision of our future. Walk through the exhibit to experience how art captures the heart of Temple Shalom’s journey and the generations who have shaped it. The exhibit will be on display Thursday through Sunday. Stop by any time. This History Through Art exhibition is made possible through the creativity and hard work of the Anita Winer Open Your Eyes Committee. Thursday, December 11, 2025 | 6:30pm (Sanctuary)Get ready to celebrate with an evening of music, song, and joy! This family-friendly concert will feature members of our own congregation, ranging from our children to our elders. They will share their musical talents in a spirited showcase of Jewish music, in all its vibrant diversity. Following the concert, we will gather in the Social Hall for Babka, Berries, and Bubbles, a sweet and sparkling celebration of our Temple’s 75th birthday! There is no fee to attend this event. SHABBAT REMEMBRANCEFriday, December 12, 2025 |
Join us for a very special B'Yachad style Shabbat of remembrance and gratitude. We will gather first for a Family Shabbat service flowing into a family-friendly community dinner at 5:30 pm, followed by a meaningful Shabbat service at 6:30 pm, and conclude with a festive birthday oneg in honor of this milestone. Together, we will honor and give thanks for the many staff members and clergy, past and present, whose dedication, vision, and care have helped shape Temple Shalom into the vibrant community it is today. Rabbi David Whiman will join us to remember and celebrate. This evening is both a celebration of our rich history and a joyful moment of connection as we look toward the future. STRENGTH TO STRENGTH STUDYSaturday, December 13, 2025 | 8:45am (Chapel & 101)Join us for a special morning of learning, prayer, and reflection. We will exploring Torah and Jewish wisdom, deepening our understanding of how our tradition carries us m’chayil l’chayil—from strength to strength. The morning will begin with an elevated minyan, followed by a rich and engaging Torah study session with guest teacher, Rabbi David Whiman. Together, we will honor Temple Shalom’s legacy of learning and community while embracing the inspiration of this milestone moment. There is no fee to attend this event.
