Upcoming Programs for 2019-2020

Shabbat on the Hill Picnic! 
Friday, Sept. 20
5:30-7:00 p.m.

Come reconnect with friends! You will have a chance to meet, sing, and say the blessings with Cantor Shafritz,  and enjoy a picnic (please bring your own) on the Hill! We will upply popsicles for dessert. Nature Explorer Summer Camp Counselor and Photographer Ian Dickerman will be taking family photos! Members and Non-Members are welcome.

 Little Explorers

Taught by our warm and creative Nursery School teacher Sabrina Burke, this program is designed for families to learn, laugh, explore and discover! This class will include science discovery, art exploration and story-time! Children ages 18 months-5 years are invited to come explore our monthly themes! Free & Everyone welcome. 

Musical Matzah Balls 
Saturdays, 10:00-11:00

Join our experienced music teacher, Jackie Nudelman, for musical Saturday mornings at Temple Shalom! This fun class for 0-5 year olds will incorporate movement, musical instruments, and songs with a Jewish twist to get your weekend started! 

Tot Shabbat Halleilu
First Friday of the month
Oct 4, Nov. 1, Dec. 6, Jan. 3, Feb. 7, Mar. 6, Apr. 3, May 1
5:30: Tot Service in the Chapel with Music and movement! This service is appropriate for all ages, led by Becca Yudkoff, song leader Jackie Nudelman and the Clergy. Children are welcome and invited to lead HaMotzi, the blessing over the Challah, at the conclusion of the service. 
6:00: Free Family Dinner (Vegetarian) 
6:30: If you family is up for it, join the larger congregation's Shabbat Halleilu Service. We provide Shabbat Club babysitting free of charge (for ages 2 and up) in our beautiful Preschool Classroom for those who need it! 

   Fall Harvest Celebration
Monday, October 21st
10:00-11:30 

Join Families with Young Children and Temple Shalom Nursery School at Temple Shalom as we celebrate the fall harvest in honor of Sukkot and Simchat Torah. There will be a short musical service with Rabbi Allison Berry and Becca Yudkoff, followed by crafts, snacks, and time spent with friends.

​Bring your toddlers for exploration, discovery, tinkering and play with a new set of materials each class.  Facilitated by Becca Yudkoff, Program Director for Families with Young Children; Lucy Banerji, Nursery School Director, and our wonderful nursery school teachers. 

 

Inside a Story! 
Tuesday, Oct. 29, Dec. 10
11:00-12:00 p.m.
Join us for this parent-child playful hour (event/exploration) as we step “inside a story” with a book to explore every month! We will bring stories alive by transforming the space and bringing images and material to explore concepts, characters, and storytelling art.  Facilitated by Becca Yudkoff, Program Director for Families with Young Children; Lucy Banerji, Nursery School Director, and our wonderful nursery school teachers.
