Stories You Should Know: Wise and Wacky Tales from the Talmud
The Talmud is one of the richest and most complicated works of literature the world has ever known. It is best known for its discourse on Jewish law (halakah) but it also contains a vast amount of non-legal material (aggadah), including some of the greatest stories you've probably never heard. Together we will explore some of these stories and their commentary while we figure out together how Judaism has understood them over time. Participants will be introduced to the unique characteristics of the Talmud, rabbinic thinking and what these stories can teach us today.
This class is being offered either as a Lunch & Learn on Wednesdays, or via Zoom on Thursdays. Please choose which way you will be attending when registering below.

"A friendly teen baking / decorating "competition" where participants will have way too little time to recreate something that's way too complicated, to see who can produce the most impressive (or, maybe, least horrific) masterpiece!"
