Rabeinu Solomon ben Isaac (Shlomo Yitzhaki), known as Rashi, is one of the most influential commenters in history. His comprehensive commentaries on the Bible have become a foundational element of Jewish education, many people study Torah with Rashi’s thoughts by their side. In this mini-course, we will learn about his signature styles and how countless generations have used his commentaries to elucidate the meaning of our most sacred stories. We’ll experiment together using his comments to enhance our own study as we consider how Torah’s teachings infuse our lives with meaning.
