Temple Shalom in partnership with Congregation Dorshei Tzedek presents "The Very Narrow Bridge". How can the sharp pain of grief turn into a bridge of hope and reconciliation? This immensely moving documentary follows four courageous and inspiring people: Israelis Meytal and Rami, and Palestinians Bushra and Bassam. Each of them lost a loved one – a child or a parent – to the bloody conflict between their nations. But instead of harboring hatred, which only fuels the ceaseless cycle of violence, they have become peace activists. As members of the grassroots movement of Israeli and Palestinian Bereaved Families, they often face hostile reactions from members of their own communities who fail to understand their mission. Undeterred, they continue to organize meetings, workshops and other events, knowing that ultimately, it is only through mutual respect and friendship that real, lasting peace can be achieved.
