Welcome to Temple Shalom's Jewish Learning and Living Program for K-5

Temple Shalom's Jewish Learning and Living Program is offered on Sundays or Wednesdays for students in grades K-5. The goal of Jewish learning at Temple Shalom is to teach our students how, why, and what it means to be Jewish. We value personal relationships with staff, teachers, and other students. We strive to create a space where our students can be their authentic selves, find a place in the community, and gain enough knowledge to know the basics that will allow to begin developing their Jewish identity.  We want them to leave our program with a thirst for knowledge, a connection to the community and a positive relationship with the synagogue, community and their own Jewish identity. The program follows a school-year schedule and offers 2.5-3.5  hours of Jewish learning each week including T'filah (worship), core class learning, activity based thematic learning and Small Group Hebrew starting in 2nd grade. We offer Extended Days on Sundays and Wednesdays to allow flexibility in families' schedules.
