Dear Temple Shalom Community,

Have you thought about touring Israel with your school-aged children?

Would you love an opportunity to learn from clergy members while creating meaningful connections with other families in our Jewish community?

Temple Shalom invites you to join us on a one-of-a-kind family trip to Israel during School Vacation Week, February 14-24, 2019. Working with ARZA World Travel for Reform Judaism, we will be developing a custom itinerary ideal for families with children ages 7 to 13. Input from participating families will be welcomed in designing family-focused tours and programming that will appeal to both children and adults alike. In addition to exploring “must-see” destinations in the Old City of Jerusalem, Galilee, Golan, Haifa, and Tel Aviv, we hope to include activities such as a communal dinner with families from Or Hadash, Temple Shalom’s sister congregation, a field trip to Haifa’s high-tech sector, a visit to a working kibbutz, Israeli Dancing (in Israel!), and much more. Families with Bar/Bat Mitzvah-aged children will also have an opportunity to celebrate their Simchas surrounded by members of their community.

Intrigued? If so, please join us in the chapel on Sunday, February, 11th from 10:00-11:30 AM to learn more during a preliminary information session with clergy and an ARZA representative.
