Jewish Tradition: The Law & Reproductive Rights
Thursday, October 21, 2021 • 15 Cheshvan 5782
7:30 PM - 9:30 PMZoomWe are at a critical moment: reproductive rights and the right to a safe and legal abortion are under siege. As Reform Jews, the value of kavod ha'briyot, respect for individual dignity, is at the heart and soul of our Jewish practice. We are compelled to act when the rights of others (and our own) are threatened.
Join WRJ for an important evening of conversation, community, and a call to action. Together we will explore the Jewish understanding of abortion with Rabbi Allison Berry and learn from Rebecca Hart Holder, executive director of NARAL Pro Choice Massachusetts, and attorney and advocate Karen O'Malley.
Hosted online by Temple Shalom of Newton, Massachusetts.
